I Wish…I Hope…I Warn

I wish I’m that person you turn to for succour…after God

I wish I am that person you see, that light up your world …after God

I wish I’m that person that makes your heart glad___

I wish I’m that person__

_that is an out-of-this-world experience…

An aroma, essence like the Heavenly brew…

Because its a brew so Heavenly it exceeds your expectations…

You can only find me, if your Heavenly senses are sharpened…enlightened.

Without your Heavenly senses

You will wonder…

Like the woman at the well

Who had wondered from man to man

Seeking…

Seeking who to quench her thirst…

Knowing it was a man who had the key of wisdom🔑

To unlock the mystery of her need

Knowing not what man it was, she wondered still

Until she came to the 8th Man…

JESUS CHRIST

And she knew that her search was over…

For she was led to the spring from within

From whence cometh, water that quenches thirst forever…

She need not seek for nor fetch from wells…

That leave her wanting…

Do not wait too long

To find your own Heavenly brew…

Who knows?

It might be given to another…

More…worthy…than you

As it was with Vashti

Who was replaced by Esther…

Sharpen your Heavenly senses and hasten your search

That it might be said of you…

“The Heavenly brew exceeded his expectations.”

The Visit

The nights have been stormy and on one of such stormy nights, Indira sneaked into an enemy kingdom.

Soundlessly skirting a gargantuan fountain with splashes of indigo, Indira slipped into the queen’s bedchamber.

Queen Sapphire opened her mouth to scream, when she saw Indira, but Indira covered her mouth.

“My apologies, your highness. I mean no harm, but time’s of the essence and I need your help.”

“Who are you?”

“I am Indira. Emperor Sergei’s wife. I need to talk to you — woman to woman, your highness.”

“In this manner?”

Aye. To prevent bloodshed.”

“I’m listening.”

Survive and Thrive: The New Resolve…

Happy New Year to you wherever you are!

I know many of us entered this year with tentative hope that there will be a break from last year’s happenings. As we try not to think that the other shoe might drop.

Ironic how many are just grateful they made it. So grateful in fact, that I haven’t heard the popular narratives of “New Year Resolutions”.

Maybe because, people just want a break. And you don’t need a special list for that.

I think people have also come to learn the hard way, that plans can fail, in the most unexpected way anyone can imagine.

I guess, it’s safe to assume that the plan for this year is one word : Survive.

I feel, should anyone mention New Year Resolution, people might actually recoil in angry fear.

This wasn’t the case, for many years until last year’s events reset everything.

It was fashionable to talk about Resolutions as one year closes and another begins.

Now, New Year Resolution is the new elephant in the room, threatening the tentative peace of many. How times have changed!

I will like to say, for many, we have learnt…well, re-learnt honesty, empathy, careful living — rather than the carefree exuberance that has plagued humanity for so long.

I suspect, that we are in some sort of purgatory, naughty corner and whatever it is called in High School.

And until, we get our acts together and acknowledge God as our God and seek righteousness, many will stay in that naughty corner.

The earlier you are repentant the sooner you are released from the naughty corner, leaving behind those who stubbornly want to hold on to there selfish careless inclination to life.

Just in case you’re wondering what the naughty corner is; it’s the virus with it’s different strains and no globally acceptable cure in sight. Rather, vaccines whose side effects make you wonder if there’s any difference between the virus and the vaccine.

If I were you, I would just healthily eat my way into an immune system boost. Further research, in this way of thought will show you what I believe are preventive measures to take.

However, if you trust what organisations of the world are saying than what is right in front of you, then once again, you won’t see nutrition as the way out. Because, it’s not globally recognised.

Well, pray without ceasing. Seek God’s presence and live according to God’s standard. If you still think you don’t have to do that, you have no idea how alone you are.

If you really want to survive and thrive, the Living God through Jesus Christ is the Answer for you and the world today.

Once again, Happy New Year!

Are we Humane Beings?

I was on youtube watching “Conversations with America”. Bishop T.D. Jakes was the host featuring a group of senior police officers, retired police officers and a psychologist who works with the army on mental health.

The topic was Police Brutality. And the Bishop was asking a lot of questions to understand why it happens and what causes it.

One of the officers said they are not always taught to be human, but to just get the job done.

And the psychologist said, “If you need to be taught to be human, you shouldn’t be hired at all.”

Someone in the comment section highlighted that statement and this response just hit me. I just kept writing. Here it is:

Unfortunately, we all have to “become” human beings. Remember the story of the “Good Samaritan”? All those who ought to know better walked past the wounded man. How many times have we as individuals “walked past”?

There are people who wouldn’t have joined the protest if they still had to go to work or identify with some “fraternity”. But priorities have narrowed down to food, shelter, health and security. Fear of “it could have been me” got many to rush out realising what they have probably been ignoring or not paying adequate attention to and not taking practical steps, toward a society of equity.

That’s why being born again prevails over just being okay, with being a “good person”.

It takes courage and a certain level of God’s anointing to do the right thing, ALWAYS. Especially, when it’s “dangerous”, inconvenient, or when we’re at risk of losing something of value.

Becoming humane is a journey we all need to take with love for the service of God and humanity.

What do you think?

Faith&Religion

Hello Beautiful People. How are you doing?

Religion and faith are somehow intertwined. To live a healthy lifestyle, you have to be religious about it. It’s not about what you “feel like” doing. It’s about what you need to do to be healthy and strong.

Faith is believing that your efforts will yield good fruits in the near future, even if you can’t “feel” or “see” the results.

Early morning sunshine gives you a healthy dose of vitamin D.

I had to work most part of the night, and I “woke” up tired. But faith — I think — propelled me to drag myself, mat, radio and cover cloth to the balcony where the sun had hit at about few minutes before 8AM.

I flopped down under the warm sun trying to catch headline news, and roll around on the mat trying to have a complete sun bath.

When it starts to get hot, it’s time to head in.

Usually, I exercise under the before-8:30AM-sun. But like I said, I was tired but my faith dragged me out to “sun bath”.

I hope you try that too. Afterall, many of us aren’t rushing out to work in the mornings anymore.

I think another name for “works” is religion. Faith is what brings life into our works.

Or what do you think?

Oh What a Year!

Hello Everyone!

Permit me to say, it’s been busy for everyone, as our lives as we knew it (yes knew) has been rearranged, reshuffled, upended and any other word you can think of.

And no. No one asked whether we wanted this change, but here we are!

For some of us, there has been no difference, or at least not much of a difference.

I suppose this is an exam on how flexible we really are as individuals.

How flexible was our schedules, our lifestyle, our minds, among other things?

One thing about flexibility is that, it’s when you need to twist to safe your life or at least assert your freedom, that it becomes obvious how flexible or rusty you are.

A lot of us have pulled a muscle or two, in this pandemic. It was either twist or break! Since breaking isn’t an option, twist it is. And if you are rusty, well…sorry about the muscle pull.

Funny, how some who don’t believe in Jesus Christ are wishing for the second coming.

As a Christian, I seriously doubt this is it, though I advice you prepare yourself by giving your life to Christ, reading the Bible and obeying the promptings of God in your conscience.

Be that as it may, we all need to find what our new normal is.

Let us as individuals, look at what we do have and work with that to provide the essentials for ourselves.

I think no one can claim they have priority issues; but just in case: It’s food and shelter. I doubt you or I need much of any clothing to stay indoors.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind. 2Timothy 1:7

Stay safe, healthy, and at peace.

Shalom!
