Musings of a Sanguine Christian Woman
This site is about sharing my thoughts, views, and discoveries, as a Christian woman.
Little by little, I had to recover
From misshapen realities that hit me like feverish fiascos
Little by little, I am building up what was lost
Like the egg nest, I strived to have
Little by little, I will recover
The heart of who I am
Little by little, turbulent tranquillity is giving way
To tranquillity…beyond bliss
Stormy nights of real realities
Creating an illusion of waving winter wheat and faceless faces
If I were the wind
On balmy days
I will sail into the wild
Over splashes of indigo
And magenta in twilight
Because of you, O faceless faces
Of an unspoken language
I had to settle for turbulent tranquillity
In the midst of feverish fiascos
Whiles wishing and trying to reach
For the candy cabinet
Of the day after eventually
Eventually…
Maybe the day after eventually
I shall open my egg nest
Of an unspoken language
In painted words
The heart of who I am
Homespun fabric
With patches of moldy mishaps,
And splashes of indigo
In painted words
For nearly burying yesterdays
Of the heart of who I am
— the candy cabinet of splashes of indigo and magenta in twilight beyond bliss….
May the faceless faces
Of misshapen realities and stormy nights
Both impressive and ludicrous
Be lost in lava swirls and twin flames forever
One last reminder
Real realities
Are a mix of balmy days, stormy nights,
Splashes of indigo,
Magenta in twilight
Both impressive and ludicrous
Little by little, an unspoken language will become painted words of understanding, beyond bliss in splashes of indigo…
Hello Beautiful People. How are you doing?
Religion and faith are somehow intertwined. To live a healthy lifestyle, you have to be religious about it. It’s not about what you “feel like” doing. It’s about what you need to do to be healthy and strong.
Faith is believing that your efforts will yield good fruits in the near future, even if you can’t “feel” or “see” the results.
Early morning sunshine gives you a healthy dose of vitamin D.
I had to work most part of the night, and I “woke” up tired. But faith — I think — propelled me to drag myself, mat, radio and cover cloth to the balcony where the sun had hit at about few minutes before 8AM.
I flopped down under the warm sun trying to catch headline news, and roll around on the mat trying to have a complete sun bath.
When it starts to get hot, it’s time to head in.
Usually, I exercise under the before-8:30AM-sun. But like I said, I was tired but my faith dragged me out to “sun bath”.
I hope you try that too. Afterall, many of us aren’t rushing out to work in the mornings anymore.
I think another name for “works” is religion. Faith is what brings life into our works.
Or what do you think?

Hello wonderfully-made! It’s an honour to be in your reading pleasure.
I found myself smiling to myself remembering a movie scene:
J: “Is there anywhere on this list that says, marry a man that isn’t your fiancé?!”
One of the girls just waking from a hang over, squinted her eyes to better see the said list shoved in her face, replied with a calm and barely concealed amusement, that I and the character found annoying:
“I don’t see anything like that here”
I was about scolding the wild friends for allowing a bachelorette party end, with the bride-to-be waking up in the suite of a stranger, she had drunkingly married the night before. (Taking a deep breathe)
How wild is that?
But my mind companion, reminded me that it ended well for her good. She met an amazing man she would have missed out on, or not have met ordinarily.
The movie title is “I Married Who?”
That was one unexpected turn, because the bride had a plan, had a list of what she would do and how.
By the way, I don’t recommend taking alcohol. People have found themselves in irreversible and damaging situations because of alcohol. Avoid it like a plague, please, because it is.
However, there are certain things that are beyond our control, that could affect us positively or negatively.
So if you are reading this, and you don’t like surprises or unplanned changes intruding in your space and imposing on your plans, you need Jesus more than anyone else.
Why?!
Well, because:
What holds me and keeps me sane when things fell apart, is that Jehovah through Jesus Christ holds my future.
That and the truth that Jehovah is more powerful than any situation, circumstance or happenings.
He knew they could or would happen. Nothing catches God by surprise. Jehovah is all knowing, all seeing, Almighty, all sufficient.
Aaand nothing is out of His control.
I think it makes sense to form an alliance with Someone Who can do all things, so I can get some things done! I mean isn’t that what world leaders do among themselves?
“I don’t have this but you have it and I need it. Let’s form an alliance.”
Next thing you know a trade by barter arrangement is made for mutual benefits of all parties involved.
Unexpected turns are inevitable. They take you by surprise, sweeping you off your feet sometimes. But when you have Jehovah as your God, you call on Him and He will answer.
He may not answer as we expect Him, but He will answer in a way that will make you say with joy and thankfulness, “If not for that unexpected turn, I would not be in this happy state today“.
Like one of my favourite persons would say, “ It will end in praise”.
However, if you try to do life alone without Jesus Christ in your life, it’s will end in tears. That’s just the Truth.
“Lord Jesus Christ come into my life. Take control of my life. I surrender everything to your control. As from this moment, I am, yours and yours alone, completely. Oh Jehovah my God as I become Yours completely, complete me, in Jesus Christ name I pray, Amen.”
Read your Bible and pray everyday. For all round growth.
Shalom🌴
What do we do about people who twist the truth and insult those who point it out?
As a Christian a lot is expected of you in God’s Kingdom and in relating with others for the development of all.
Some people who I’m beginning to think are trying to create hype, are always verbally attacking anyone whose expression and interpretation contradicts their own.
Hard as I try understanding people whose lives aren’t that sterling, but think it’s their duty to impose corrections filled with faults on everybody else, sounds hilarious, except I’m not laughing.
Reading the Bible is a study in mystery that I think someone should write a book on.
The Word of God is a living breathing Word, powerful enough to make flesh.
It’s a cleanser, purifier, transformer, healer, comforter, shelter, edifier and so much more.
It is also a double edged sword and a mirror.
And if you think too highly of yourself, you are likely to see only what you want to see in the mirror-like sword and then point it against others.
Your reason or should I say motive for reading the Bible is more important than the reading itself — God forgive me if saying that is a sin.
Because you read your motives into what you are reading. Therefore if you are looking to justify yourself in what is wrong, you will likely find an example that may seem to agree with you.
The right way to read God’s Word is to have the motive to right your ways to God’s satisfaction. Anything less than that is no different from reading history or the law.
God’s Word is HIStory. If we want something different from that then we should write our own story.
Plagiarism is still a crime, I believe.
Reading into God’s Word what isn’t there is no different from plagiarism.
The last statement of the Bible in the Book of Revelations is clear on how God feels about twisting HIS Truth.
It’s save and wise even, not to get it twisted.

Indira!!!
Birds merrily chirping at the palace grounds took off in fright.
Indira and her cousin jumped, as the Emperor thundered.
“What on earth did you do, I’ra?” Her cousin looked at her in wonder.
Before Indira could respond — so perplexed she was — her husband stormed into her rooms.
“Privacy!” He ordered in an angry voice. All the servants scurried out of the Queen’s Quarters.
Indira and her cousin stood, both in anxious wonder.
“I’m sorry Princess MayRose, but I need to speak to my Empress alone.”
“I understand that, your Highness, but I don’t feel at ease leaving my sister, while you are in this…..mood.”
“I would not assault my own wife, if that is what gives you concern, Princess.”
When MayRose didn’t look convinced, Indira gave her a reassuring smile, and she reluctantly left.
As she was wondering were to stay to be close enough should the Emperor turn violent, she saw the Emperor’s brother coming warily towards the Queen’s Quarters.
“Greetings Princess”
“Greetings your Highness”
“What brings you here? ”
“My brother is quite vexed, though he’s not violent outside the battle field and he honours women, I just want to make sure…..” He shrugged helplessly.
Obviously he’s not used to seeing his brother this angry. A realisation MayRose found the least reassuring.
“Very well. We might as well stay here just in case. Hopefully we worry in vain.”
“Hopefully”, He said.
In the inner room, Queen Indira stood calmly as her husband paced infront of her.
Finally he spoke in a strained voice, “Where were you the night before, my Lady?”
“Right here, my lord”
“All night?”
Oh dear.
” Nay, my lord”
“Nay? Very well then. Let me rephrase. Who were you with, Indira?” He asked in a dangerously quite voice.
Indira looked into his eyes, now fiery gold and asked, “Am I being accused of something, my lord?”
“Indira.” He looked like he was ready to explode. “Just answer the question.”
“Very well. I went out to see my brother, your highness”
“Your….what?”
“Your brother in-law, your Highness, or is that no longer permitted?”
Her husband looked shocked and confused.
“But Aunt Omra said….” He whispered
Oh the snake!
“Said what? Your majesty?” Indira was beginning to get angry herself.
“Never mind. Why did you have to sneak out to see him?”
Never m____!
“Because that’s what he requested!”
“And you couldn’t tell me where you were going?”
“I did not see the necessity. He said to tell no one.”
“I see”
“I realize how this looks to you. But I hope you can trust my sincerity.”
Her husband looked perplexed. Indira knew he trusted her. But the situation looked suspicion especially with his aunt stirring the brew.
She really understood her husband’s dilemma.
To believe her means his “aunt” was wrong.
To completely believe his aunt, means to belief his queen was an adulteress.
I’m going to “properly” introduce myself to Omra.
Her husband was about walking out, but she blocked his path. He looked at her with a startled frown.
Well my lord. No one may never have dared to block your part, but no one has dared accuse me of such a vile thing even if it was implied.
“We are not finished, my lord.”
“What am I being accused of? And who is my accuser?”
“No one has accused you____”
“No one, my Lord?”
“I am Indira, princess of Amfyre Empire, queen of Xenia and Empress of your empire, your Majesty. I will not tolerate any falsehood implied against my person.”
“Indira calm yourself. I did not think you capable of falsehood.”
Indira smiled in grim amusement.
“You did not? Then why did you come in this room in such a fashion, my lord? Did you know what my cousin asked me, What did you do?. Now if my cousin could ask me that, by now news has spread that I have committed such an offence that made you loose your temper. Rumours would be rife by now.”
Indira continued in a much solemn voice, “If we do not discuss and resolve this openly, you will not like how my family will take it. And by then I will not interfere.”
The Emperor looked at her in calm understanding and took a deep breathe while running a hand through his midnight dark hair.
“What do you want from me, Indira?”
Indira walked up to her husband, held his strong hands and looked in his eyes, “Be sincere and open with me, my lord, as I will you. Otherwise, we will have a divided kingdom on our hands and that is dangerous for all concerned”
The Emperor slowly nodded and squeezed her hands in agreement.
There’s an African proverb that says, “A lone 🌲 tree cannot make a forest.”
This talks about a unity of purpose, to make things happen.
It’s often said, that no one is an island. We are not created to stand alone in everything. We’re made to collaborate, to form relationships.
Life is about collaboration. You can buy, only because someone is selling. You have shelter because someone was willing to build. You have a business because someone needs your services and is willing to patronise you. You have a job because someone needs your skills and is willing to hire you. You need others and others need you as well. It is co-dependence and inter-dependence. No one can truly do anything, all by themselves. We’re not just built that way.
Life is meant to be shared, and there’s love in sharing.
Does that mean we should hitch our wagon to just anyone’s?
No, of course not.
But we should not make the mistake of going the high road of not needing anybody. We can choose who to associate with. We simply have to choose wisely. We need to choose people who can help us grow and who we can help grow. That’s how a forest works.
Choosing the wrong company or choosing to remain in wrong company is like, trying to grow under a huge tree. The huge tree might seem like a shield from the harsh realities of life, but in the real sense, its preventing the trees under it from getting adequate nutrition directly from the elements, for proper growth. Neither will they have deep roots, because the roots of the huge tree will not only absorb most of the earth’s nutrients, but it will not give space for any tree under it or it’s immediate environs to take root.
Have you ever seen a tree growing under a huge tree, become as big as that tree? Trees growing under huge trees are limited to living in the shadows of the huge tree.
There’s a time to “get thee out from among them”, so that you can grow to your highest potential. But you still need thr right people to make that happen.
However, don’t let the absence of help or assistance stop you from venturing out on your own. It only takes one step of faith at a time. It is well.
Shalom. 🌎
