The Answer

Hello Beautiful People!🙋

Life has a not-so-funny way of catching us off guard, no matter how much knowledge we think we have; no matter how prepared we think we’re. The more self-assured you are of your ability to escape problems, the harder it is for you to handle or comprehend what life throws at you.

It is especially worse for Millenials, because most of us don’t think of anything, especially not the future. And this is not because we can’t think, but because majority of us believe thinking ahead is too much work, too much stress, takes too much time, and generally takes too much of everything our generation does not want to give.

This is the live-in-the-moment  generation. If it’s not about this very moment, we don’t want to know. Some will yawn in mockery at anyone who dares think about consequences  of a moment’s indulgence. Any young person who takes a risk of talking about tomorrow is generally seen as a boring fun-killer.

Millenials (typical young person of this generation) will be like, “Please. I have heard enough of that from my folks. I don’t need to hear it again.”

But life is going to hit were it will hurt — whether we believe it or not, whether we expect it or not, whether we’re prepared for it or not.

No wonder suicide rate is at an alarming high among young people, because they couldn’t handle what life had handed them. They became overwhelmed and they decided to ‘check out‘ and give up on living. Life had become a big question mark to them, and they couldn’t find the answer now.  After all patience is virtue that doesn’t seem trendy in this millennia. So if something is wrong and it’s not changing now, then to a millenial, it probably will never change. But that is not true. Just think of it as a no-blink contest, and decide that your challenges will blink first and lose the contest.

We can’t win as lone individual  though. It doesn’t make us dependent wimps. It just means we are made — or wired, I should say — to partner, to collaborate, to function and cope better in adversity when we are in the right community.

But there’s no question without an answer if we look in the right place.

Psalm 121 says,

I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come?

My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth!….”

Problems have a way humbling us and showing us we are not invincible outside God. It shows us our limits. But if we choose to look in the right direction, we will see that “with God, nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37.

Accepting Jesus is the first step, because He is the Answer for the world today. In Christ we find the answer to life’s complexities. In Christ there’s clarity of purpose.

Jesus said,

‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry. “

Matthew 11:28-30  NET

There’s no better mentor, friend, comfort than Jesus, if we would let Him into our lives.

The burden of life makes weak, because it gets heavier. Restlessness will be a constant companion when one refuses to relinquish one’s burden to Jesus.

Last I checked, He’s the only one offering.

We are made to understand that we are not meant to be burden-less because we are in Christ, but the burden we would swap with Jesus, will be easier.

Check the life of Jesus to understand your Christ-burden. He was a youth with a purpose and a difference. His life on earth challenged heavy laden burdens that the society and religious leaders placed on the people, to enslave them.

Therefore, it’s only natural that the burden of Jesus, will be that of purpose to make a positive difference in the capacity God has given each of us.

The more you get closer to the Answer the more liberated you will be, because knowing the truth precedes freedom. You get to know more about God, yourself, and your reason for living.

Try Jesus today and you will indeed have a BFF — Best Friend Forever!

Lord Jesus Christ I need answers to my burning questions. I surrender my all to you — withholding nothing. Lord I offer my life to you; everything I have been through, my plans, my hope. Use them for Your glory. Be my Answer. Save me and I will be saved. Speak peace to the troubled waters of my soul. Wash me clean with your Blood, in Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen.
