Taking enough water has always been a challenge for me. I’m well aware that drinking enough water, will make me a healthy ravishing beauty, but I happen to be a foodie.
The picture above is that of Hibiscus flower tea🍵. In my part of the world, it’s taken iced. Kinda like what lemonade is to the some part of the world, were it’s the life of the gathering — be it community, church or family.
Like lemonade, it’s usually prepared with lots of sugar, because it takes lots of sugar to sweeten it. Then it’s garnished with pineapples🍍, cucumber🥒, watermelon 🍉 and maybe apples🍎.
On it’s own it has numerous health benefits, good for hair and skin care as well.
It colour is like that of beetroot, so be prepared for some tongue, teeth or maybe finger staining but the health benefits are worth it.
When boiling it though, you can slice in ginger, turmeric, pineapple and any other fruit of your choice. Or let it cool after boiling then pour the juices of your choice fruits, herbs and spices in it, to make your iced tea.
